The plot is on the mountainous region located in the middle of the island, very close to the capital (Ioulida). The purely rural character of the area is depicted by how the terrain is formed, with retaining walls (terraces known as “pezoules”), auxiliary structures (“stegadia”) and of course the mills, which although half ruined, form an impressive ridge.

The programme calls for the design of a small residence. In the proposal, the residence is placed low within the plot in order to be protected from the northern winds and to be detached from the old mills at the northern boundary. The residence consists of small autonomous stone volumes, following the relief of the land.
