Pavlos Aravantinos & Konstantios Daskalakis

daceworkshop is a creative architectural studio based in Athens, engaged in architectural research and the design and realization of building-scale projects. The practice was founded by Pavlos Aravantinos and Konstantios Daskalakis.

Every project begins through a process of research focused on:

  • the building program, its functions, and the relationships between them;
  • the ways in which the building will be inhabited and experienced;
  • the site’s topography, character, and unique conditions;
  • the history embedded in the plot and its broader surroundings;
  • the environmental and social conditions of each location;
  • the technologies that can be integrated both into the construction process and into the research methodology itself.

A key point of reference for our work—without adhering to it dogmatically—is the Modern Movement.

In recent years, our interest has increasingly focused on:

  • how architecture can be designed and built in the context of the environmental crisis;
  • how architectural practice can respond to the ever-growing complexity of contemporary life.

Our studies and completed projects have received awards in competitions, been exhibited in architectural exhibitions, and been published in architectural journals and digital platforms.
