Konstantios Daskalakis

Konstantios Daskalakis was born in Athens, Greece.

He studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) with a scholarship from the Michelis Foundation, and earned a PhD in Philosophy from the same university with a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. His doctoral dissertation focused on the concept of repetition in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger.

He has taught Architectural Design and Architectural Theory at the Schools of Architecture of the University of Thessaly and the University of Patras.

Working within a modernist—though non-dogmatic—tradition, his research is primarily concerned with the relationship between place, program, and technique. He considers both the theoretical and the narrative dimensions of a building to be integral components of the design process and architectural research.

His work has received distinctions in architectural competitions for both conceptual and realized projects. He has participated in architectural exhibitions and has published in international journals and reviews. In parallel, he lectures at schools of architecture throughout Greece and writes on the history of philosophy.
