Under Construction

The proposal involves a small residence in a suburb of Athens which has not yet undergone systematic building.

The area has been divided into very small plots. In the proposed solution, the building is organized in a ‘T’ shape, and the courtyards are as large as possible. The living room with the kitchen as well as the dining room are placed on the ground floor. Three bedrooms are placed on the first floor and an attic is used as a storage space and a playroom.

Two courtyards are designed: a rectangular one along the road and a more square-shaped one, which has no contact with the street. A terrace is created on the first floor which can be accessed by the master bedroom. Each courtyard has different features and accommodates different uses.
